I’m Lucie, founder of The Beauty Room Birmingham, and I specialise in Skin Transformations.

My Story
I did not always know I would work in skin. After leaving school, I worked in administration, but I never felt truly fulfilled. I knew I wanted something more, something with purpose, but I was not yet sure what that looked like. Everything changed when I became a mum at 25. Shortly after, I was made redundant while on maternity leave. In that moment, I made a decision that would shape everything that followed. I would build something of my own.
With the support of my family, I returned to college to train in Beauty Therapy, later completing my Level 3 qualification and a Foundation Degree in Salon Business Management. During that time, I realised I had found more than a career. I had found something I genuinely cared about. Helping women feel better in themselves lit something in me, and that feeling has never left.

The Moment That Shaped My Philosophy
As my career developed, I found myself increasingly drawn towards skin and aesthetics. As I approached my 30th birthday, I began to feel self-conscious about my frown lines and lips. I booked a consultation at a reputable clinic, trusting that I was in safe hands.
What followed had a lasting impact on me.
I was offered treatment on the same day as my consultation. My lips reacted badly to filler, causing severe swelling and leaving me with a result I was not prepared for. I was then offered dissolving, with risk, or more filler, and neither option felt right. The experience deeply affected my confidence.
I avoided going out, felt incredibly self-conscious, and it took a long time to rebuild trust in both the industry and myself. Eventually, the filler was dissolved by another professional, but the emotional impact stayed with me.
That experience shaped my entire philosophy.
I knew I never wanted another woman to feel pressured, unsupported, or left chasing a version of herself that did not feel right. That is why my work today is centred around honest advice, long-term skin health and treatments that support confidence rather than undermine it.
Why I Created The Beauty Room Birmingham
In 2013, I opened The Beauty Room Birmingham with a clear vision. To create a safe, welcoming space where women feel supported, listened to and guided, never sold to. When I discovered advanced facial technologies such as CACI and Environ, everything truly clicked. I fell in love with skin, not simply as a treatment, but as a journey.
That journey is now at the heart of everything I do.
Whether someone comes to me for CACI Facials, Environ Facials or a Bespoke Facial, my focus is always the same. To create a results-driven plan that supports healthier skin and stronger confidence over time. When a client comes to The Beauty Room, she is not just booking a treatment.
