Omnilux Clear LED Mask
Omnilux Clear is a flexible, medical-grade blue and red LED mask created specifically for acne-prone skin. Using clinically proven 415 nm blue and 633 nm red wavelengths, it targets the bacteria linked with breakouts while calming redness and supporting skin repair. Backed by over 20 years of Omnilux LED research and 40+ peer-reviewed clinical studies, this at-home device brings dermatologist-level technology into your routine to support clearer, calmer, more balanced skin over time. The soft, silicone design sits comfortably over the face, wrapping around contours so the light sits close to the skin for even coverage and effective energy delivery. In clinical studies using combined blue and red LEDs for mild to moderate acne, most participants saw a reduction in inflamed spots over a 7-week course. Omnilux Omnilux Clear is ideal for oily and combination skin, hormonal breakouts and red, inflamed blemishes, and works beautifully alongside a tailored skincare plan from The Beauty Room Birmingham to help support your skin’s overall health and confidence.
How often to use Use 4 times per week for 6 weeks as your initial programme. After this, use at the first signs of a breakout or 1–3 times per week for maintenance, as advised by your skin specialist. Do not use continuously for more than 6 weeks without a break.
Step-by-step Cleanse
- Start with clean, dry skin. Remove all makeup, SPF and skincare.
- Avoid applying products before treatment, especially retinoids, strong acids, benzoyl peroxide or oil-based products, as these may affect comfort or light penetration.
Fit the mask
- Connect the mask to the fully charged controller.
- Place the mask over your face with LEDs facing the skin and secure using the adjustable head straps so it sits close but comfortable.
Treat Switch the device on and relax for the full 10-minute treatment. The mask will automatically switch off when the session is complete. Aftercare
- Remove the mask and gently apply your prescribed serums or moisturiser. If using in the daytime, follow with a broad-spectrum SPF.
- Wipe the mask with a soft, non-abrasive cloth or wipe and allow it to dry before storing.
Application tips
- Use consistently at similar times each week to fit easily into your routine.
- For very reactive or sensitive skin, begin with 2–3 sessions per week and increase if comfortable.
- Combine with a professional acne treatment plan from The Beauty Room (for example, targeted facials and barrier-supporting skincare) to maximise and maintain results.
- This device is best for red, inflamed blemishes and acne-prone skin; blackheads and whiteheads may still need tailored topical treatments as advised by your practitioner or GP.
Benefits
- Targets acne-causing bacteria - Blue LED light at 415 nm helps to destroy C. acnes bacteria on the skin’s surface, reducing the triggers that lead to inflamed spots and breakouts.
- Calms redness and inflammation - Red LED light at 633 nm penetrates more deeply to soothe inflammation, helping angry blemishes look less red and feel less sore.
- Supports skin healing and clarity - Red light encourages natural repair processes, collagen production and balanced oil flow, which can help improve overall texture and reduce the visible aftermath of breakouts over time.
- Clinically tested for mild to moderate acne - In clinical studies combining these wavelengths, most users reported a reduction in inflammatory acne lesions after a 7-week treatment course.
- Gentle, non-invasive and suitable for most skin types - Provides a drug-free option that can sit alongside many acne routines, with no downtime and minimal disruption to daily life when used as directed.
- Flexible, comfortable at-home use - Soft silicone and built-in eye shields allow you to lie back or sit comfortably during treatment, making it easy to keep up with regular sessions.
Do not use Omnilux Clear or seek medical advice before use, if any of the following apply:
- Children under 14 years - The device has not been tested for safety in those under 14, so it must not be used by this age group.
- Severe acne or cystic acne - Omnilux Clear is intended for mild to moderate acne vulgaris of the face only; more severe acne should be assessed and treated by a doctor or dermatologist.
- Photosensitivity or light-reactive conditions - If you have a history of photosensitivity, are on light-sensitising medication (including some antibiotics or isotretinoin), or have a condition that makes you sensitive to light, consult your doctor before use.
- Use with certain active skincare or medication - Caution is advised if you are using strong retinoids (including prescription-strength), high-concentration benzoyl peroxide or are currently taking oral isotretinoin (Accutane). Always check with your prescribing clinician or skincare professional first.
- Darker skin tones with a history of pigmentation changes - People with a tendency to pigment or with deeper skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI) may very rarely experience temporary pigmentation changes with blue light therapy; seek personalised advice before starting.
- Use outside the stated indication - Do not use Omnilux Clear for conditions other than facial mild to moderate acne unless specifically advised by a healthcare professional.
